Congratulations to HSI Explorer Post 601 Competition Detail for a 1st place win in Search & Arrest and 2nd place in Crime Scene Investigation at the 2022 Law Enforcement Exploring Spring Competition!

On May 8th, our competition detail (Alex Valera, Saleem Jumai, Shuto Tsutsui, and Jack Morrissey) was invited to the 2022 Law Enforcement Exploring Spring Competition at William H. Pouch Scout Camp. Our detail competed against explorer posts from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), New York City Police Department (NYPD), Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department (MTAPD), and Nassau County Police Department (NYPD). The detail placed 1st in Search & Arrest and 2nd in Crime Scene Investigation scenarios. HSI Explorer Post Advisors, HSI Special Response Team (SRT), and current and former Explorers came out and supported the detail during the competition despite the weather.
