Eligibility
If you are interested in applying for HSI Explorer Post 601 or learning more about the program, please submit the form below and explain why you want to be considered part of the program. An advisor will contact you shortly.

Upon acceptance, all recruits must complete an application and pay a $50 registration fee. Our meetings are held weekly on Fridays from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at 601 West 26th Street, NY, NY 10001. Recruits must also wear all black t-shirts and sweatpants until uniforms are issued after attending twelve meetings. You will be provided with further information after submitting the contact form and the application packet below.

Live in or near New York City

Be between the ages of 14 and 20 (to apply)

Be in high school or college

Be in good disciplinary standing at school

Maintain at least a "C" grade average

Obtain parent's or guardian's consent (if under 18)

Have no significant criminal history

Be a US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident residing in the U.S.
